Boiler Servicing
We carry out over 15 different checks when we undertake a service. This helps to minimise any future breakdowns and ensures that your boiler is running safely and efficiently. We’ve got different service options available to suit your needs:
Standard service £55 + VAT
Carry out tightness test – testing the entire run of gas pipework and appliances in your property ensuring its all sound.
Carry out visual flue inspections both internally and externally – checking joints, terminal clearances and its general condition.
Carry out flue flow and spillage checks – this ensures the chimney/flue is pulling correctly and products of combustion aren’t spilling into the room.
Carry out standing, working and inlet pressure checks – checking the function of safety controls at your gas meter and that the correct amount of gas is being supplied to the appliance.
Carry out visual checks inside the boiler – checking the burner, heat exchanger, fan, case seals, gas connections, water connections and other key components where possible.
Check safety devices
Carry out gas rating and heat input checks – to tell you the amount of gas your boilers using and check it corresponds with manufacturers instructions.
Clean condense trap and magnetic filters where necessary.
Carry out flue gas analysis tests – to ensure boiler is running and burning as it should and adjust where necessary.
Check controls are operational and radiators are working.
Where present check cylinder and storage tanks are free from leaks.
The engineer will record all their findings on a service sheet for you to keep for your records.
Premium Service £89 + VAT
All the above standard service checks/tests carried out plus:
Supply and fit in its optimum position a CO alarm – pre warning you of the presence of carbon monoxide before it reaches dangerous levels.
Dose system with inhibitor ensuring it contains the correct amount – helping to protect your system from corrosion and making sure its runs as efficiently as possible between services.
